Avivit Dekel

Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist | Neurodivergent, Trauma and Attachment Expert

I have a deep understanding of the complex challenges and unique strengths of young people with neurodivergent needs and tailor my assessments and interventions to empower them and their families. My work helps clients explore and understand their individual experiences, challenges, and needs. I support families in strengthening their relationships and developing effective strategies while helping to prevent emotional deterioration and burnout situations.

A key part of my role involves supporting the systems surrounding the child—including schools and care providers. I offer guidance to professionals, helping them adopt effective, informed approaches to working with the young people.

I have an extensive experience working with PTSD and complex trauma, with fostering and adoption. I provide individual and parent-child therapeutic interventions, integrating evidence-based therapies such as EMDR, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), and Theraplay to support healing and development.

In my senior roles, I have delivered training, supervised psychologists, nurses, and therapists, and collaborated extensively with government bodies, health authorities, and schools to ensure coordinated, holistic care. My compassionate and collaborative approach prioritises warm and supportive connections, clear communication, and tailored interventions to achieve meaningful outcomes for each client.

I am an HCPC-registered Chartered Clinical Psychologist.
